Why a Locator Just for Educators
The educator calendar is unlike any other hiring cycle. You are offered a position in March or April, you sign a contract that starts in August, your first paycheck lands weeks after your first day — and the entire profession tries to move through the same six summer weeks. A generic apartment search treats none of that as data. We treat all of it as the assignment.
The work itself is unglamorous verification. Which communities near your campus have units turning over in your window. What each one actually charges once the admin, pet, and parking fees join the advertised rate. Whose written policy accepts a signed contract or new-hire letter before pay stubs exist — confirmed with the leasing office, dated, in writing, before you spend an application fee finding out the hard way. The service costs you nothing; the community you lease at pays our referral fee, and your rent is identical either way.
Two boundaries hold everything up. Approval decisions belong to each community — we match you to written criteria you appear to meet, and we never promise an outcome. And your campus appears in our work as exactly one thing: your workplace. We follow the Fair Housing Act as written — apartments and neighborhoods described by their features, never by who lives there — so questions about schools as schools go to your employer, and questions about apartments come to us.
